Kalibotics plans to develop a fully autonomous trash picking drone. The drone will be able to use multisensory data to autonomously identify trash, pick them up, and drop them in bins.
Features
- Lidar: Measures the distance of a target object by emitting light waves, calculating the distance between its body the corresponding obstacle.
- Object detection: Accurately detect any trash, using its onboard A.I. object detection model.
Use Cases
- E-waste & Waste Management System: The drone can autonomously detect waste/trash. It finds the location of the object by doing simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) and computes a path to the object. It will proceed to grab the object with its gripper, locate the nearest trash can and dispose of it.
